SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - As organizers are on Maui preparing for the 16th annual Maui Oceanfront Marathon in January, they are offering participants in the Lake Tahoe Marathon a 20 percent early-bird discount through New Year's Eve.

The 29th annual Lake Tahoe Marathon will be held October 18 - 20, 2024.

ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. - You don’t need to look too far from home for an awesome winter break from January 2-5, 2024 for grades K-6. At Zephyr Point, kids will take an adventure, enjoying all that a week on Lake Tahoe in the winter has to offer! Winter Camp Zephyr is all about creating unforgettable experiences for campers.

Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.

Winter Camp Zephyr will hold many of the same types of activities as Summer Camp Zephyr only with a frosty twist.

Minden Mill Distilling continues its living history presentations on Sunday, November 26 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. This program is about Margret and James Reed, Those That Survived. Local authors and historians David & Gayle Woodruff assume the characters of James Reed and his wife Margret, who were the original organizers of the infamous Donner Party of 1846.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Enjoy your holiday shopping this season at the South Lake Brewing Company's indoor Holiday Market on five Saturdays - 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, and 12/23. The market will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on each of those dates.

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams is bringing his 2024 tour to the Tahoe Blue Event Center at Stateline on January 24. Tickets go on sale November 17 at 10 a.m. Adams' tour stop at Lake Tahoe also includes Dave Stewart’s Eurythmics songbook. Stewart, who shared the stage with Annie Lennox as one of the Eurythmics, has been on tour with the group's biggest hits.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The once annual Renaissance Faire has been missing from the South Lake Tahoe landscape for a few years due to construction at its old home of the Camp Richardson campgrounds, COVID, and then epic snow in 2023.

The Enchantment of Valhalla Renaissance is set to make a triumphant return for the 2024 season. Step back in time and immerse yourself in a world of chivalry, enchantment, and merriment over the weekend of August 24-25, 2024, at the Tahoe Valley Campground.

The popular jousting event is also returning with the faire.

There is a continuing critical need for blood donations, and Vitalent will have a few chances to donate in the South Lake Tahoe/Stateline area before the end of the year.

MINDEN, Nev. - The Accidental Conservationists will be at Minden Mill Distilling on Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m. They are hosting a free one-hour Chautauqua performance of Lake Tahoe’s eccentric couple, George And Elia Whittell, the “Accidental Conservationists.” Local authors and historians David and Gayle Woodruff re-enact the characters of one of the wealthiest couples on the West Coast during the 1920s through 1950s.

STATELINE, Nev. - Good Vibez Presents and PR Entertainment, Inc., the teams behind Tahoe’s ever-popular Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival, have announced the lineup for the Lake Tahoe Winter Reggae Festival 2024. On February 17 and 18, President’s Day weekend, reggae royalty Damian 'Jr Gong' & Stephen Marley and fan favorites, Stick Figure will take the stage at the brand new Tahoe Blue Event Center in Stateline, Nevada.

The Day of Days, the largest celebration of Nevada within the Silver State, returns for its 85th consecutive year on October 28, 2023, in Carson City.

This year, the theme is “Home Means Nevada,” courtesy of the beloved state song.

The fun begins at 8 a.m. on parade day with the ReMax Balloon Launch which will take place all the way from Fairview to downtown Carson Street.

At 10 a.m., the parade will begin with a military flyover, with entries beginning from E. William to Stewart Streets.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Join the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a free driver safety education class at the CCC building in Meyers, signups are required.

This program is designed to help the newly licensed driver AND their parents/guardians:
• Promote safe driving skills
• Develop their knowledge of the Rules of the Road
• Promote the parental role in developing new drivers
