Heavenly Village Midway Art and Music Festival over Labor Day weekend in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - End your summer on a high note at the Heavenly Village Midway Art and Music Festival, taking place over Labor Day weekend, August 30, 31, and September 1. This lively festival, presented by the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority in partnership with the Tahoe Improvement District, promises a weekend packed with fun, entertainment, and activities for the whole family. Admission is free though there is a charge for carnival rides and games. The activities start at 5 p.m. on Friday, 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

South Lake Tahoe community members to hold International Overdose Awareness Day event

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - International Overdose Awareness Day is Saturday, August 31, and people in South Lake Tahoe will be coming together at Bijou Community Park from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Kiwanis Shelter next to the playground. Through the 2024 theme, “Together We Can,” the day will highlight the strength of coming together and standing in support of those connected to the tragedy of overdose.

New coffee and home decor store, Gathered and Grown, opens in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - What do you get when you combine crafted coffee, home decor, and a refreshing atmosphere? Gathered and Grown, of course. The new curated home goods store and coffee bar is now open in the Tahoe Keys Village and will be celebrating its opening on Saturday, August 31 with a special event.

Founded by mother and daughter, Rachel Langtry and Madison Hicks, Gathered and Grown offers an intimate setting to browse, shop, drink coffee and relax. There is also an outside patio to sit down and enjoy

Labor Day Weekend Murder Mystery Train in Virginia City

Looking for something unique this Labor Day Weekend? Join others on the Virginia Truckee Railroad at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, and immerse yourself in solving a Murder Mystery with the Fun Time Players.

A crime has been committed, and it's up to you to play detective. Prizes awarded. Wine, cold beer, soft drinks, and appetizers will be served.

Meyers Mountain Markets every Wednesday all summer

Meyers Mountain Market is held every Wednesday at Tahoe Paradise Park from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through September 11, 2024.

The primary goal of our market is to promote a sense of community and a healthy way of life for Meyers residents and South Lake Tahoe locals alike. Of course, Tahoe visitors are welcome to join in on the fun! We are dedicated to bringing farmers right to your table, so we stay open rain or shine. We encourage our market patrons to bike, walk, or caravan to keep that Tahoe air feeling fresh!

"Community" the key word in new Ski Run Community Park - Grand Opening Sept. 6

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Just a few years ago it was a fenced-in empty lot left after the old Slalon Inn was removed in 1999 for the transfer of development rights needed for the reconfigured Safeway in South Lake Tahoe. Tired of seeing just a fence and dirt, along with a need for open space for children to go in the Ski Run Boulevard area, a group of locals envisioned a community park.

7th annual Reef's Run at Lake Tahoe to support the Hydrocephalus Association

September 8, 2024 - 9:00am

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - The 7th annual Reef's Run will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 9 a.m. Once again the run will be both starting and ending at Round Hill Pines Resort.

Sign-in and registration start at 7:30 a.m. and there be coffee, water, and light snacks to get your day started right. After the run, enjoy an ice-cold beer for those 21 and over, and ice cream for the kids provided by Crystal Creamery! Stay around for their awards ceremony, silent auction and raffle, face painting, music, snacks, and more.
