Lake Tahoe Home and Garden Show This Weekend

The Third Annual Lake Tahoe Home and Garden Show will take place at the Recreation Center, 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd., in South Lake Tahoe, CA, this weekend. The popular event will be open 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday, April 25th,and from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Admission is free to the public.

The event will feature demonstrations on soil building by Gardens for a Healthy Tahoe, Hands Only CPR demonstrations by the South Lake Tahoe Firefighters Association, and information on defensible space, pet safety tips for the summer, lead based paint remediation, and unique and traditional vendors.

Among the adventures of the show will be unusual lamps and tables made by TahoeTimber Uniques, gardening tips from Aspen Hollow Nursery and Landscaping and creative one of a kind handmade birdhouses by Jim Dalton. Lee Designs will have beautiful, sturdy, steel screen doors in varied patterns and colors.

An Author's Corner will present Liz Patterson of Carson City with the Bonner's Fairy series; Gina Geldbach-Hall, one of the first female firefighters in Las Vegas, author of Firegal, Rising from the Ashes;Ray Goodenough with an amazing story that chronicles a search for his daughter in Parallel Journeys, and Debra Gauthier, with Bright Lights, Dark Places, a story of one of the first female police officers in Las Vegas.
