June Day Jamboree

Event Date:
June 7, 2014 (All day)

Everyone is talking about it! Can we grow food up here?

We can. And it's fun, too! But... Which plants to choose? And when to plant them? What to do about our terrible soils and crazy weather?

We’ll show you. You’ll learn low-cost, environmentally-friendly strategies for growing nutrient-rich vegetables--even up here in Tahoe. We will cover all the basics from planning to harvest. Whatever your knowledge level, you will learn new secrets for success. After the morning presentations, we will eat lunch listening to music in the garden, and get all your questions answered. Then, take the opportunity to buy other ready-to-plant vegetables at our Plant Sale. Funds raised help volunteers provide free and low-cost programming all year long.
