SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The much-anticipated pairings for the Tahoe Arts Project's 8th annual Dancing With the Tahoe Stars have been announced!
The local celebrities met their professional partners Tuesday night during a party at the Hard Rock Casino.
"Everyone is super excited about it," said Tahoe Arts Project Executive Director Peggy Blowney.
The stars (on the left) and their dancing partners:
Debbie Brown, owner of Cold Water Brewery with Matthew Slater
Jeff Connor, local musician and California Burger partner with Rhonda Keen
Jeff DeFranco, President/Superintendent of Lake Tahoe Community College with Robyn Rasmussen
Chris Fiore, City of South Lake Tahoe communications manager with Ashley Smith
Susan Glasson, Rotarian and Yoga Instructor with Luke Borchers
Bridey Heidel, South Tahoe High department chair with Heather Dominguez
Chris Heng, Lake Valley Fire Protection District firefighter with Kaela Johnson
Erin Jones, MD, a Barton family medical doctor with husband Bryan Thompson
Valerie Lomeli of the LTVA with Adrian Escobedo
Sarah Moss, owner of Sierra Athletic Club with Amy Penner
This year will be different as the dancers don't have to stick to an assigned style of dancing and the sky is the limit, but the dances do have to have a Broadway show tune theme.
Keen will be defending her Mirror Ball trophy won last year with Tom Callahan.
Dancing With the Tahoe Stars will be held in the MontBleu Showroom on Saturday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. Ticket prices are adults $25-$65, children under-18, $10 economy seating only (adult price in other sections).
Tickets go on sale February 7 at tahoeartsproject.tix.com or by calling Ed Wright at Tahoe Valley Lodge 530 541-0353. Visit tahoeartsproject.org to vote for you favorite couple (website will be ready to go next week).
