Barton Health fills CFO and CMO spots from within

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After a national search, Barton Health has announced they hired from within to fill two key spots on their executive team.

Kelly Neiger, CPA, MBA is now the new Chief Financial Officer and Matthew Wonnacott, MD has been selected as the new Chief Medical Officer for the South Lake Tahoe non-profit healthcare system.

Kelly Neiger has been a Barton team member for over 13 years, serving as Controller and Administrative Director of Finance & Revenue Cycles. An experienced finance and accounting expert, she holds a Masters of Business Administration and Certified Public Accountant license in California and Nevada. She was born at Barton Memorial Hospital, as were the two youngest of her three daughters. Mrs. Neiger and her husband Mike, a physical therapist at Barton Rehabilitation’s Stateline office, are active volunteers with the South Tahoe High School basketball team and enjoy taking their family hiking, boating, and camping.

Dr. Matthew Wonnacott joined the Barton family in 2017 as the Medical Director at Barton Community Health Clinic. With more than 20 years in the medical field, including his position as former Chief of Medical Staff and Chief Operations Officer at Travis Air Force Base’s David Grant Medical Center, Dr. Wonnacott brings experience and compassion to his practice. He enjoys an active Tahoe lifestyle and spending time with his wife, Holly, and seven children ranging in ages 10 through 27 years old.
