Steve Harness Promoted to GM of South Lake Tahoe's KRLT and KOWL

Lake Tahoe resident Steve Harness has been promoted to head the team at KRLT 93.9 FM and KOWL 1490 AM as their new General Manager.

Harness has been with the company for seven years, serving as their DJ, Program Director and Operations Manager. He brings 20 years of radio experience with him.

Owner Joe Schwartz said “It was important to us to hire form with-in for this position. We need somebody running those stations who is part of the Tahoe community for the long-run and that is Steve”.

Harness is married with young children. His wife is the Manager and Marketing Specialist with her family owned Ken's Tires in South Lake Tahoe. Steve said “This is a big opportunity for my family, these stations and this town. I believe in radio being a strong local asset and I look forward to bringing KRLT & KOWL to the next level”.
