Tahoe Chamber offers anti-sexual harassment and bullying workshop

Event Date:
February 21, 2018 - 12:00pm

South Lake Tahoe residents, including business owners, human resource leaders, and managers, are invited to the Tahoe Chamber's next Level Up Workshop that will address a subject everyone should be trained on: Sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and bullying in the workplace.

Is your team properly prepared to prevent these from happening?

The Level UP Anti-Sexual Harassment and Bullying workshop will be on Wednesday, Feb. 21, from noon to 1:30 p.m. inside the Tahoe Chamber conference room. The cost is $10 for Tahoe Chamber members and $20 for aspiring members. Tickets can be purchased online at TahoeChamber.org and will be available at the door the day of the workshop.

“Many of us spend most of our waking hours at work, particularly in a town driven by tourism. Gender dynamics in the workplace is a complex topic and it is critical to identify those dynamics in order to ensure a healthy work environment,” said Laura Moriarty, workshop facilitator. “The MeToo movement has highlighted the need for everyone to understand when innocent conduct crosses the line and becomes a pattern of unwanted behavior, and what to do if that happens."

Workshop facilitator Laura Moriarty is a seasoned HR executive, nationally known corporate trainer, and frequent presenter of Sierra Human Resources Association workshops. Her organization, Tahoe Training Partners has provided high quality, intellectually fresh training, executive coaching, 360-feedback, compensation and strategic planning, meeting facilitation, and customized organizational retreats since 2007.

In addition, organizations and individuals that sign-up for all five Level UP workshops on or before Feb. 21 will receive one workshop for free. For more details and to register visit TahoeChamber.org.
