Missing woman's car found near Emerald Bay
Submitted by paula on Sat, 02/20/2016 - 12:41pm
The car belonging to Carolyn Batchelor, the Zephyr Cove woman missing since February 15, has been found near Emerald Bay, but there is still no sign of the 69-year-old woman.
The California Highway Patrol located the vehicle in the area of Inspiration Point, overlooking the bay near South Lake Tahoe. El Dorado County Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue team, along with Douglas County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue are searching the area where Batchelor's car was found.
The recent snow fall and steep terrain are making the search a slow process. Search dogs have been deployed.
The family and close friends of Carolyn have been notified of the progress of the case and have not heard from Carolyn.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office or your local law enforcement.
