Four potential candidates so far for El Dorado County Supervisor 5th District

Candidate season has already started for not only the State of California but also El Dorado County.

So far, for the El Dorado County Supervisor representing Meyers, South Lake Tahoe, Tahoma and Pollock Pines (District 5) four candidates have taken out papers.

Current Supervisor Sue Novasel, local businessman Ken Curtzwiler, former Supervisor Norma Santiago, and transportation technology and land use expert Jeffrey Spencer have all taken out papers during the filing period which began February 12.

All potential candidates for supervisor have until March 9, 2018 to turn in their completed paperwork.

The City of South Lake Tahoe election filing period starts on July 15 and goes until August 10. If no incumbent files that date is extended until August 15. Seats up for the election in November are those City Council seats occupied by current mayor and mayor pro tem Wendy David and Tom Davis, and former mayor Austin Sass, as well as seats currently held by City Clerk Susan Alessi and City Treasurer David Olivo.
