SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Due to grocery items flying off the shelves at stores, some local businesses have changed their hours to allow time to restock. Hot items are toilet paper, paper towels, milk, eggs, and canned food items.
Both Safeway stores on the South Shore have changed their hours to 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. instead of being 24-hours. The pharmacy hours have remained the same.
Smart and Final in South Lake Tahoe have changed hours to 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. They have put limits on items in high demand including bags of rice, beans, canned goods, milk, eggs, meat, water, and cleaning supplies.
At the two Raley's in South Lake Tahoe, hours have remained the same, 6:00 a.m. to midnight.
Also remaining the same is Grocery Outlet. They are open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Trucks are expected Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to assist with filling their stock.
