Lionel Richie 8th act announced for Lake Tahoe Outdoor Concert series

Multi-grammy award winner balladeer Lionel Richie is heading to the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys on August 17, 2019, making his the second American Idol booked for the popular series and eighth act booked to date.

Richie, who is known for his years with funk and soul band the Commodores who hit's "Brickhouse" and "Machine Gun" kept people on the dance floor in the 70s along with "Easy", "Three Times a Lady", and "Still". He set out on a solo career in 1982 and continued the hits with "Truly", and the top five hits including "You Are", "My Love", and "Say You, Say Me". His last album was released in 2012.

Showtime on the 17th is 7:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 29 with presale starting March 26. Cost for tickets range from $69.50 -$149.50 and are available on Ticketmaster.
