South Lake Tahoe Police identify man killed in shooting

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) has identified one of the two men involved in Wednesday's shooting on Sierra Boulevard.

Sacramento resident David Hunter, 24, died from his injuries after being airlifted to Reno.

The second person involved is a South Lake Tahoe resident. His name has not been released as he is still in critical condition at Barton Hospital. Police investigators will be interviewing him once his condition improves.

SLTPD Lt. Travis Cabral said there is no outstanding person from the incident and the only two people involved are the man hospitalized and the deceased.
