Mom's Morning Out: Not Just for Moms

Event Date:
May 3, 2014 - 8:15am

Enjoy a morning of pampering, fitness, and wellness. Barton Health invites
women from the community to attend the third annual Mom’s Morning Out on Saturday, May 3.

“Mom’s Morning Out was started by Barton Health to promote wellness and health services available in our community,” says Leanne Wagoner, Barton’s Community Outreach Coordinator and co-organizer of the event. “It’s a chance for every woman to relax, unwind, and get informed.”

Women of all ages – mothers, grandmothers, daughters, and sisters – are encouraged to attend this free event. Yoga and fitness classes start at 8:15am. Coffee and brunch from Blue Angel Cafe will be served.

Other complimentary activities include wellness booths put together by local businesses, health presentations, and a Zen room with acupuncture, facials, and massage services. Wellness booths and pampering start at 9:00 a.m. and go until 11:30 a.m.

One woman, who participated last year, commented: “I didn't realize just how beneficial the Barton Health's Mom's Morning Out was going to be, but it has to be one of the most unforgettable mornings for me. I was able to let go and just enjoy myself.”

Mom’s Morning Out will take place at Lake Tahoe Community College. The event is free and no reservation is required. All attendees must be at least twelve years old.
