No new confirmed COVID-19 cases in El Dorado County; Incline Village now at 18

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There were no new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County today, leaving the total at 39. The statistics also remained the same for recoveries (34). 1,655 people have been tested, 35 additional people and 1,616 tests have been returned as negative or results are pending.

The Lake Tahoe region of the County (Kyburz to South Lake Tahoe, Meyers to Tahoma) has 13 cases.

Washoe County

The county is now breaking down cases by zip code, and Incline Village, with a population of 8,800, has 18 cases, or 2 per 1,000 people, and Crystal Bay has one. Southeast Reno's 46,907 residents have 112 cases, or 2.4 cases per 1,000.

There has been an increase of 26 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Washoe County since Tuesday.

Quad County Region (Carson City, Douglas, Lyon and Storey)

The Carson City area, Quad-County Emergency Operations Center reports Wednesday the first death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The individual was a female Carson City resident in her 70’s with underlying health conditions.

The Quad EOC is also reporting five new positive cases and one recovery of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 68, with 25 recoveries and one death, 42 cases remain active.

Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released.

There are two Quad-County residents currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. As of April 21,2020, approximately 1,124 COVID-19 tests were performed by all providers in the Quad-County region.

Placer County

There were no new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County Wednesday.
