Volunteer at a California State Park in Tahoe and get free camping
Submitted by paula on Wed, 05/10/2017 - 4:09pm
There are two opportunities for people to help prepare Lake Tahoe campgrounds for the upcoming busy summer season. The California State Parks work days will be on May 20 at Ed Z'Berg Sugar Pine and on May 21 at D.L. Bliss .
People may volunteer for one or both days. Tools, training, lunch (and high fives) are included. As a special treat, volunteers are also invited to tent camp too.
Ed Z'Berg Sugar Pine Point State Park
D.L. Bliss State Park
Sunday, May 21, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Tasks will include removing fallen debris, raking campsites, clearing roads, etc. They aren't able to offer free camping during Tahoe's busiest summer season, and this is a chance to volunteer and camp on the beautiful west shore. Teens 12 and up are welcome with a legal guardian.
