Fight at South Lake Tahoe bar sends owner and patron to hospital

A fight in a South Lake Tahoe local bar early Sunday morning resulted in two people seriously injured with the bar owner hurt and a patron knocked unconscious to the point of needing CPR.
South Lake Tahoe police responded to Mo's Place in the 3600 block of Lake Tahoe Boulevard at 12:36 a.m. with a fight reported between patrons and bar security, authorities said. When officers arrived, they learned that the business owner had been punched and knocked unconscious by a patron who had been asked to leave the establishment due to unruly conduct.
Officers found this patron lying unconscious on the floor, detained by security staff, said South Lake Tahoe Police Lt. Brian Williams.

Officers arrived and found the unconscious patron had no pulse and was not breathing, Williams said.
Officers began an emergency medical response and the man was revived by fire/medic personnel. By using CPR at the scene the man’s pulse was re-established. Both the patron and the owner were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Video equipment in the establishment was under review by authorities early Sunday morning.
According to Lt. Williams, detectives are investigating the case to determine, among other things, whether any criminal violations have occurred relative to amount of and type of force used upon the unruly patron in order to affect his arrest by private persons.
