Nine candidates apply to fill STPUD board seat through 2020, special meeting Thursday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There will be a special board meeting for the South Tahoe Public Utility District (STPUD) on Thursday, June 11 starting at 9:00 a.m. to discuss who will fill the remainder of Jim Jones's term.
Jones, a longtime member of the board, passed away on May 7.
Nine residents filled out an application and expressed a desire to be the temporary board member until December 2020. Jones's seat would have been up for election in November.
The virtual board meeting will give each of the candidates six minutes in an interview. The schedule is as follows:
9:05 to 9:11 a.m. - Daniel Gill
9:12 to 9:18 a.m.- Margie Maxhimer
9:19 to 9:25 a.m. - Mikee Gerland
9:26 to 9:32 a.m. - Jennifer Peterson
9:33 to 9:39 a.m. - Shane Romsos
9:40 to 9:46 a.m. - Eric Schafer
9:47 to 9:53 a.m. - Duane Wallace
9:54 to 10:00 a.m. - Eric Parks
10:01 to 10:07 a.m. - Dave Peterson
10:08 to 10:15 a.m. Break
10:15 a.m. Reconvene and the announcement of the new board member to be made.
