SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Eleven teachers and six instructional and library assistants are retiring this year from Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD). Together they have worked in education for 465 years.
Normally the retirees are honored during a ceremony and reception held during a school board meeting, but this year the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation (LTEF) and LTUSD decided to change the format of honoring the retirees. The new format is to celebrate the retirees at their own school/worksite with friends and colleagues. Members of LTEF, Board of Education members and administrators will be present at the individual events.
