The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is requesting help from the community in location Ruth Anne Scudder, a 28-year-old voluntarily missing adult. She has a mild mental handicap, which causes the police to consider her at risk. Her family reported that Ruth left their shared South Lake Tahoe residence two weeks ago, on Wednesday June 4th and has not been seen by her family since.
Ruth does not drive and, although she has a history of voluntarily leaving home unannounced, she has always returned within a few days. Due to the extended time frame she has now been missing, her family is growing increasingly concerned. Scudder was reported missing during a similar situation on May 2nd as reported on South Tahoe Now. She was reported found three days later in that case.
Ruth Scudder is 5’-04” tall and weighs 135 pounds. She has blond hair and green eyes. Her family has attempted all means of communication with Ruth without success. Ruth has no financial resources with her, and her circle of friends is unknown to her family. No crime is suspected at this time, but the police are requesting help from our community in locating her. Please call SLTPD dispatch at 530-542-6100 with any past or current sightings of her.
