SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) is investigating a doll that was hanging from a power line in the Tahoe Sierra neighborhood on Tuesday.
When SLTPD officers arrived at the corner of Rose and Lodi Avenues they found a black doll hanging with a heavy string around its neck. With the assistance of Liberty Utilities, the doll was quickly removed.
SLTPD is investigating this as a Hate Incident and attempting to identify the person, or people, responsible. It does not amount to actual hate crime as it doesn't appear to be against an actual person in the area.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway and at this time, police have not located any witnesses or leads. Anyone with information of this incident is asked to contact SLTPD at 530-542-6100.
