A Sacramento man is facing over 20 years in prison after a jury in South Lake Tahoe found him guilty on 11 counts of felony Pandering and 3 counts of Felony Pimping.
Isiah Campbell was arrested on March 3, 2017 after El Dorado County detectives set up an undercover operation targeting human trafficking and prostitution in the Placerville area.
Detectives researched ads on dating websites regarding escorts, made contact with them via phone and set up dates at a local motel. During the operation six female escorts responded to the room, all from out of the area. Three were arrested and booked into jail, two were cited with a promise to appear and one was released to victim services.
Many of those women testified during Campbell's trial. They said he would arrange "dates" for them from Seattle to Southern California, but most in the Sacramento and western El Dorado County areas.
Campbell, who was 43 at the time of arrest, also faced Human Sex Trafficking charges but the jury found him not guilty on those.
Campbell will be sentenced on July 9, 2018.
