COVID-19 case update for some Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There are no EL Dorado County COVID-19 updates for Friday as the statewide website they utilize for some of their data was down this afternoon. There is one person hospitalized in the ICU in El Dorado County and no suspected cases at this time. The next update is expected on Monday.

All other area Nevada and California counties supplied the following information:

Quad-Counties - Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon

Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting four new positive cases and 16 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 319, with 230 recoveries and seven deaths, 82 cases remain active.

The new cases are:
• A male Carson City resident in his 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 20’s with a travel history to Texas.
• A female Douglas County resident in her 20’s with a travel history to Texas.
• A female Lyon County resident in her 40’s with no connection to a previously reported case.

Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released

Washoe County

The Regional Information Center is reporting 108 new COVID-19 cases in Washoe County since yesterday.

Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 2,404 (+108 from 6/25)

Recoveries: 1,632 (+40)
Active cases: 806 (+68)
Currently hospitalized: 74 (-3)
Cases who have discharged from hospital: 204 (+9)

31 (+2) of the confirmed cases to date are in Incline Village with 8 (+0) active ones, and one recovered case in Crystal Bay.

Placer County

There have been 14 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since Thursday, with no new ones in the Lake Tahoe area.
