Body of man found near South Lake Tahoe golf course

3:10 PM update: The South Lake Tahoe Police Department says the body found today at Bijou Municipal Golf Course is that of a 55-year-old South Lake Tahoe resident. No foul play is suspected.
The name of the deceased person will not be released until next of kin has been notified. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The naked body of a man was found at the Bijou Municipal Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe just before 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) is at the scene along with other agencies.
SLTPD Lt. Shannon Laney said the man appears to be in his 50s. The coroner arrived at 1:30 p.m.
The golf course has decided to close for the day in light of the investigation.
