Celebrities bestow gifts on young fan at Celebrity Golf

In a matter of moments, Madden Casto of South Lake Tahoe found herself in possession of two autographed golf balls and a $20 bill.

The third grade student at the Lake Tahoe Environmental Science Magnet School, decked out in a tutu and flowers in her hair, was picked out of the crowd by comedian Ray Romano at the 17th hole at Edgewood Tahoe. He said he'd give someone $20 if he made it onto the green with his tee shot and Madden became that "someone."

Romano hadn't planned on making the green but when he did Madden found herself $20 richer. He then said he'd make it $100 if he made it a one put hole (sorry to say, he didn't have to pay up a second time).

Former quarterback Trent Green found Madden as well and handed her an autographed golf ball.

But, there's more. Comedian Larry the Cable Guy found the cute little blond and gave her an autographed ball as well.

All in about ten minutes at the American Century Championship Golf's final day Sunday.

I didn't stay with Madden long, perhaps more gifts found their way into her hands after I left.
