August: Osage County opens at Lake Tahoe Community College

Valhalla and LTCC are teaming up to present the 2008 Pulitzer and Tony Award winning play August: Osage County at LTCC’s Duke Theater starting Thursday, July 24th.
The play has an all-star cast of local actors that including Ginger Nicholay-Davis, Diana Evans, Chris and Pam Taylor, Bob Neidermeier, Aletha Nelligan, Bret Robinson, Mitzi Nelson, Dave Anderson, Madison Nelson, Thomas Lopez, Anita Jones, Ryan Adams. The Stage Manager/Assistant Director is Ethan Nivan,South Tahoe High graduate who just directed A Servant with Two Masters at the Boathouse Theater. Technical Director is Kurt Munger, Props Rhozie Del Gado and Lights Mike Kelly.
The critically acclaimed play is described as a fraught, densely plotted saga of an Oklahoma clan in a state of near-apocalyptic meltdown. Fiercely funny and bitingly sad, a turbo-charged tragicomedy packed with unforgettable characters and dozens of quotable lines.
The play will run for two weekends, July 24-27 and August 1-2. The Thursday through Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 each and available on the Valhalla website.
