Ski Run closing today to prepare for Hot August Nights

Due to the fire at South Lake Tahoe's Deerfield Lodge overnight, many people may think Ski Run Blvd is closing Thursday due to the fire investigation, but that isn't the case.
As planned, Ski Run Blvd is closing between Forest Avenue and Birch Avenue starting at noon Thursday. The road will remain closed through Saturday.
All side streets are open and detour signs will be on the road.
