Bread & Broth and the Attic team up to provide food and supplies to the South Lake Tahoe community

Barton Health’s Attic Thrift Store is joining Bread & Broth in their efforts to help members of the community struggling during the economic downturn brought about by the Coronavirus pandemic. The Attic Thrift Store is providing free clothing, home goods and toys for all of the clients coming to Bread & Broth’s food giveaways on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at St. Theresa Church Grace Hall, 1041 Lyons Avenue (one block east of the Tahoe Middle School).

Bread & Broth says they are thrilled to have the Barton’s Attic Thrift Store partnering with them to serve the community by supplementing its food giveaway program with free items that have been donated to the Attic Thrift Store.

As more folks are out of work or have their work hours reduced, getting bags filled with food and finding a much needed item to wear, a great book or toy for the kids, or a warm blanket, will help folks save money for other necessities such as rent, mortgage payments, utility bills, etc.

Bread & Broth is providing free food giveaways (minimum of 4 bags of staples, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, and breads/pastries) to individuals and families on Mondays from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. B&B 4 Kids Summer program is providing kid-friendly food on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to children up to the age of 18 (parents must be accompanied by their children).

Barton Health’s Attic Store began providing their free items on Friday, July 24 at Grace Hall, and at this time, the Attic is committed to providing free clothing, home goods and toys on B&B’s food giveaway days and times through August 28, 2020.
