Man arrested in Incline Village after he shoots at car in Meyers

A 34-year-old man from Galt, CA was arrested in Incline Village, NV on Thursday night after turning himself in for shooting at a car in Meyers.

At approximately 9:18 p.m. on July 30, a Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound near the intersection of Highway 89 and Highway 50. The driver of the Prius said he was shot at by a passing vehicle. He couldn't identify the make of the car but thought it was a gold or tan sedan. Neither occupant in the Prius were injured though a bullet was found lodged in the driver's seat after it passed through the car door.

Almost two hours later, at 10:53 p.m., Washoe County Sheriff Deputy C. Courtney was filling his vehicle with gas at the substation when he was approached by a vehicle matching the description. Ignacio Madrigal-Arizaga got out of the car and told the deputy he thought he killed someone in South Lake Tahoe.

Inside Arizaga's car the deputy found a controlled substance, multiple firearms, and spent shell casings. He was booked in the Washoe County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and willfully discharging a weapon at a vehicle.

A complaint is expected to be filed that would bring the suspect back to El Dorado County.
