Man missing since 2010 may have been seen in South Lake Tahoe

Jackson Miller was just 18 when he was reported missing by his family in 2010 and he has not been seen by his family since. There may be renewed hope by his family after a South Lake Tahoe man reported that he saw Miller in the area in mid-July.

Soon after he went missing, Miller's car was found in the parking lot of the Golden Gate Bridge with his wallet and cell phone still inside. Authorities determined that no one jumped from the bridge the night Miller's car was found and video surveillance cameras showed him leaving his car and walking out of the parking area.

Miller lived in Cupertino, a city in the southern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area. He is listed as voluntarily missing but his family is still concerned, especially since he was reported to have been anxious and depressed due to medication withdrawal at the time of his disappearance.

Despite the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department having received numerous unconfirmed sightings on Miller in the Bay Area, his family has not heard from him for four years.

This week a South Lake Tahoe resident called the SLT Police Department to report having seen a missing person poster displaying Jackson Miller’s picture. The caller reported having seen Jackson Miller in South Lake Tahoe on a number of different occasions in the past; as recently as about mid-July of 2014. Although the caller seemed confident, the report currently remains unconfirmed. No crime is suspected at this time. Nevertheless, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department would like the public’s assistance in locating Jackson Miller to confirm whether he is in fact here in our area, and to confirm whether or not he may need help.

He is described as 5’-10” tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He may have facial hair at this time. Jackson is not known to have any financial resources, and his circle of friends is unknown to his family. The police are requesting help from our community in locating him.
