SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A 41-year-old woman from Vallejo, California was arrested on Monday after allegedly dragging a male victim from a vehicle in the Raley's parking lot.
There was a verbal argument Monday morning between Antoinette Sunday Luna and a man in their vehicle in the east parking lot of the grocery center near Stateline. The victim was halfway climbing out of the vehicle when Luna kept driving, dragging him and causing an injury, according to South Lake Tahoe Police Sgt. Scott Crivelli.
Luna fled the area in her vehicle. The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office found her driving westbound on at the top of Echo Summit on US-50 and detained her. Personnel from South Lake Tahoe Police Department responded and took custody of the suspect.
A flare gun was found in the vehicle after the arrest search, according to Crivelli. Since Luna is a convicted felon she is not allowed to possess firearms (which include flareguns).
Luna is on probation out of Solano County for possession of methamphetamine for sale. Since she was allegedly found with a meth pipe and methamphetamine in her bra, she violated her probation.
The male victim was transported via ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital for treatment and was later released.
Luna is currently in the El Dorado County Jail on a $220,000 bail hold. She is facing felony charges of aggravated assault w/deadly weapon: not a firearm; felony charge of inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant/dating relationship; misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance; misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia; felony charge of being a felony with a firearm; felony enhancements for prior felonies and probation violation.
