Election picture clear with all candidates now known

Area 2 - Roberta Mason, who has been on the board since day 1, is not seeking reelection. Jeff Cowan is running unopposed.
Area 5 - Incumbent Molly Blann is not running. Vying for her seat are Bob Grant and Michelle Sweeney.
With the filing deadline now passed, the list of candidates for South Lake Tahoe City Council and City Clerk, South Tahoe Public Utility Board and the Lake Tahoe Community College Board of Trustees is now known. These positions, along with the El Dorado County Supervisor for Area 5 will all be voted by local voters on during the November 4.
New this election for both School Board and Board of Trustees are voting areas. The city and county have been divided in to areas that the candidates, and those voting for them, reside.
Candidates for LTCC Board of Trustees:

Area 5 - Incumbent Molly Blann is not running. Vying for her seat are Bob Grant and Michelle Sweeney.
The terms for Karen Borges and Dr. Frederick Wenck, Jr run until 2016.
Candidates for Lake Tahoe Unified School Board:
Area 2 - Incumbent Wendy David is not running for LTUSD seat (moved to City Council election instead). Ginger Nicolay Davis is running unopposed.
Area 5 - Barbara Bannar, incumbent, is running unopposed.
Candidates for South Lake Tahoe City Council:
Incumbents Angela Swanson, Brooke Laine and Tom Davis all want to retain their seats. Running against them are Wendy David, former councilman Bruce Grego, Austin Sass and Matt Palacio.
City Clerk Susan Alessi is running unopposed.
Candidates for South Tahoe Public Utility District Board:
Eric Shafer is not seeking reelection. Looking to take his seat are Duane Wallace and Andy Champman.
Jim Jones is running for reelection. Running against him is Jeff Rosmos.
Chris Cefalu is running unopposed for his seat.
The two candidates for County Supervisor were determined in a closely fought June runoff. They are Sue Novasel and Kenny Curtzwiler.
