Laser Show and full slate of events over Labor Day Weekend in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Labor Day officially marks the end of the summer season in Lake Tahoe and weekend-long celebrations are spread throughout the South Shore September 1-3, 2018.

Labor Day Lasers at Lakeview return to Lakeview Commons on Sunday, September 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Besides a laser show that uses the tall pines as a backdrop there will be food trucks, a dozen local vendors where people can purchase handcrafted goods and clothing, and a wine and beer garden.

Once the sun sets at 8:30 p.m. lasers will flash through the sky reflecting on the towering pines and the lake while a live DJ synchronizes the show to music.

At Heavenly Village there will be a vintage and muscle car show with trophies, poker run and sidewalk sale September 1-3.

Also at Heavenly Village is their Carnival, Art & Music Festival with a Midway with rides, Plein Air Artists, Caricature Artists, Balloon Art, Jugglers, Fortune Teller, Face Painter, Live Music, and a 5K Run.

Heavenly Mountain Resort will be holding their annual Tent Sale at the California Main Lodge September 1-3 starting at 10:00 a.m. each day. Skiers and riders can save money as they stock up for the new season.

Kirkwood's Thin Air Chili Cookoff is on Saturday, September 1 from noon to 4:30 p.m. Live music, kids' games with arts and crafts, beer and wine tasting.

TAMBA's annual Rose to Toads Mountain Bike Ride is on Sunday, September 2, with 62 miles of terrain, over 8,000 feet of climbing and over 10,000 of descent.
