City Council Candidates Forum set for September 10

Seven candidates are vying for the three open seats on the South Lake Tahoe City Council in November. Incumbents Angela Swanson, Brooke Laine and Tom Davis are going up against Wendy David, Matt Palacio, Bruce Grego and Austin Sass.

With so many candidates to choose from it will be important come election day to vote for the three you feel can lead the City for the next four years.

The TahoeChamber and Tahoe Daily Tribune are providing local an opportunity to hear from the candidates during a candidate's forum on September 10 at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The TahoeChamber and Tahoe Daily Tribune are hosting the event.

All seven candidates have been invited to participate in the forum. Candidate questions will be moderated by representatives of TahoeChamber’s Candidate Endorsement Committee, representing more than 660 members and 8,000 jobs in our community. Many of the questions will revolve around principles in the Tahoe Future 2020 South Shore Community Vision, a platform adopted by the Chamber Board of Directors. Questions will also be solicited from the audience.

The forum is free and open to the community. The Tahoe Regional Young Professionals will host their monthly mixer following the forum, also at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.
