Festival favorite Bassnectar to perform at MontBleu

Event Date:
November 6, 2014 - 8:00pm

Bassnectar, who has played at South Lake Tahoe's SnowGlobe, will be performing at MontBleu Resort on November 6.

The Electronic Dance Music heavyweight has rock critics saying his shows are not only finely tuned auditory experiences, but feature unparalleled light arrangements and awe-inspiring visual queues.

Bassnectar is the brainchild of Lorin Ashton, a San Francisco-based DJ, producer and artist.

Since the release of his first album in 2001, Bassnectar opened the doors for today’s EDM explosion. As founder of Amorphous Music, he has used his label as a launching pad for a series of groundbreaking releases, including 2010’s Wildstyle, 2011’s Divergent Spectrum that reached No. 3 on the main iTunes chart as well as No. 1 on the electronic chart for months, and 2012’s Vava Voom with the self-titled single featuring Lupe Fiasco that was hailed by critics from Rolling Stone, Spin, The New Yorker and National Public Radio.

The Bassnectar tour, which travels with its own custom sound rig, has headlined stops at some of the most noted venues and festivals in the country including sets at Coachella, Lollapalooza, ACL, Bonnaroo, Burning Man, Shambala, Red Rocks and South Lake Tahoe’s own SnowGlobe Music Festival.

The critically acclaimed artist is internationally recognized for live shows that sweep contemporary EDM boundaries, pulling and fusing sounds from several genres: dubstep to metal, punk rock, hip hop, and trip hop. Considered one of the longest standing and most respected artists in American EDM music, Bassnectar’s legions of fans affectionately refer to themselves as “Bass Heads.”
