There is still time to participate in the City of South Lake Tahoe's 50th Anniversary parade on September 19.
They have extended the parade application submission deadline to this Friday, September 4 at 5 p.m. Applications are available online at www.cityofslt.us/50parade or at any City Office.
This will be a unique opportunity to showcase organizations, service groups, athletic teams, schools, etc. while joining with the entire community in celebrating 50 years of South Lake Tahoe history. The theme of the 2015 parade is Past, Present and Future.
The parade route is Al Tahoe to the “Y” southbound along Highway 50. This is a slow moving walking parade so that it can include multiple service groups, athletic and youth groups.
The City extends their gratitude to the Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe for their volunteer efforts to help put on the parade.
More information and the downloadable application are available online at www.cityofslt.us/50parade or contact City Public Information Officer Tracy Franklin at (530) 542-6093 or tfranklin@cityofslt.us.
