September 27, 2022 - 6:00pm

Author Christopher C. Couper will be featured at the next Lake Tahoe Historical Society Fireside Chat on Tuesday, September 27 at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the historic Camp Richardson Hotel. Couper will be sharing his new book, From Ranch to Resort: The History of Sierra-at-Tahoe. The book is packed full of the ski resort's 75-year history, from its conception as Sierra Ski Ranch until now, the rebirth of Sierra-at-Tahoe after the Caldor Fire took out much of its tree-lined terrain.

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is offering the program for free, and the public is invited.

Couper will have both soft and hard copies of his book at the presentation - priced at $50 and $100 respectively, plus tax. The books are also offered for sale at the Lake Tahoe History Museum on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Camp Richardson Hotel is located at 1900 Jameson Beach Road, South Lake Tahoe. There is limited seating so it is suggested attendees arrive early.
