Free kids Pumpkin Run held during Lake Tahoe Marathon

Free Pumpkin Run for kids returns during the 27th annual Lake Tahoe Marathon this fall. The Optimist Club of Lake Tahoe is sponsoring the event for kids ages 1-10 on Sunday, October 16, 2022 while the marathon runs October 14-16.

Once again the Optimist Club of Lake Tahoe is sponsoring Free Pumpkin Runs for kids ages 1-10. Every participant gets a pumpkin if preregistered! The race starts at 4081 Lakeshore Blvd. at Lakeside Beach, South Lake Tahoe.

- Distances are age appropriate

- Free entry
- Free Souvenir Race Bib
- Free Hotdog and drink
- Free Pumpkin if pre-registered in advance
- Wear your Super Hero or any Halloween costume

The adult 5K and 10K races start at 9 a.m., and they will be followed upon completion by the kids' run, starting at approximately 10:30 a.m.

To register for the Tahoe Triple Marathon (26.2 Friday + 26.2 Saturday + 26.2 Sunday), Tahoe Trifecta (13.1 + 13.1 + 13.1), or Super Triple Marathon (26.2 + 26.2 + 72), simply register for each event for each day and you are automatically entered into the 3-day event.

Vacation Special:
Choose any 2 Individual Races - Receive an additional 10% off.
Choose Any 3 Individual Races - Receive an Additional 15% off.
The discount will be created and assigned automatically.

Family & Friends Discount:
Register your family or friends on the same credit card within 24 hours and get a 10% discount if there are two members in your party or 12% discount for parties of three or more. Just remember it has to be done on the same credit card with in 24 hours.

Active Military Personnel Discount (not for family members of Active Duty Military):
Receive 10% off registration fees, online only

Senior Over 60 Discount:
Receive 10% off registration fees

Youth 17 and Under Discount:
Receive 20% off registration fees

Honoring Uniformed Police Officers
To celebrate uniformed police officers (for a limited time), Uniformed Police Officers will receive any Marathon, Half Marathon or 72M race for $60. Note: 2021 Honored First Responders, 2020 Honored Teachers, 2019 Honored Nurses
