Power outage in the Stateline area of South Lake Tahoe

11:20 p.m. UPDATE: Power is still out to 301 Stateline customers of Liberty Utilities and six NV Energy customers in the area. South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue responded to Stateline Avenue after smoke was seen coming out through a manhole cover.
The cause of the outage and smoke is under investigation.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Crews from Liberty Utilities are working on a power outage Sunday evening in the Stateline area of South Lake Tahoe, one that is affecting 426 customers.
The cause of the outage, which was first reported just after 8:00 p.m., has not been reported at this time. The estimated restoration of power is listed as 11:06 p.m. on the Liberty website.
NV Energy is also reporting a few customers on the Nevada side at Stateline are without power.
