Kudos: Liberty Utilities hosts Bread & Broth dinner

From an informal survey of Bread & Broth’s (B&B) dinner guests attending the Monday Meal on October 3, the B&B cooks were to be congratulated for the tender, moist, and tasty Chicken Parmesan that was the main entrée for the evening’s meal. Cooking for a large group of people is not always an easy task but the talented and creative B&B cooks always strive to make a delicious and nutritious meal for B&B’s dinner guests.

The meal’s Adopt A Day of Nourishment (AAD) host for the evening was Liberty Utilities and once again their $300 donation was the funding that provided the food and supplies needed to serve the evening’s meal. In addition to the donation, another great crew from Liberty joined the B&B volunteers in putting together the food ‘giveaway’ bags, preparing the dessert/drink table, manning the serving line, and breaking down and cleaning up after the meal.

Thanks to Liberty Utilities' generous community volunteer policy, Liberty team members Blaine Ladd, James Martin, Frank Papandrea, and Emily Sellier-Flynn were able to devote three hours to helping their community neighbors enjoy a hot, filling meal and take-home bags of food. The AAD crew was a fun and hardworking group that delighted in the volunteer experience.

“Liberty employees enjoyed serving the less fortunate in our community,” shared Frank. “It was fun to prepare the food-to-go bags and make so many smiles as they were being served a hot and nutritious meal.”

Kudos to Liberty Utilities and its four team members for their commitment to serving the Lake Tahoe South Shore community.
