The Lake Valley Fire Protection District announced the swearing in of new Apprentice
Firefighter-Paramedic, Dylan Yuzbick, was given the oath of office by Board President Dave Huber and was welcomed to the District during their October 8 board meeting.
As an Apprentice he will assume full duties as a working Firefighter-Paramedic. Dylan Yuzbick was born in South Lake Tahoe and graduated from the Lake Tahoe Basin Fire Academy in 2013. He has an Associate’s degree in Fire Science and a Bachelor’s degree in English. Dylan also worked as a volunteer for the Lake Valley Fire Protection District, for five years before being hired on full time.
“We are pleased to welcome Dylan to our family at Lake Valley,” stated Fire Chief Gareth Harris.
