Group calls for recall of all five El Dorado County Supervisors

Efforts to recall the five El Dorado County Supervisors were initiated at the Board's regular meeting on Tuesday, October 27 in Placerville. Sue Novasel and Michael Ranalli were served with "Notices of Intention to Circulate Recall Petitions" by local State of Jefferson organizer, Kevin McAllister.

Supervisor Brian Veerkamp was not at the Board meeting and will be served with his Notice upon his return according to the website, Save Our County. They also said the the goal is to recall all five Supervisors, including Supervisors Shiva Frentzen and Ron Mikulaco.

Novasel serves the area of El Dorado County that covers the entire South Shore from the state line to Tahoma and over the summit to Pollock Pines.

"The citizens of El Dorado County are sick and tired of the corruption, cronyism, and lack of representation in the County, and it's time for a clean sweep," said McAllister.

Novasel and the other Supervisors have seven days to respond after a petition is properly served and then filed with the Elections Official.

“I welcome the opportunity to respond to this issue,” said Supervisor Novasel. “Once you’re elected to public office, you are just that – very public – and the Board of Supervisors represent approximately 180,000 people in El Dorado County.”

“My district (V) spans from Lake Tahoe to Pollock Pines with common economies and concerns,” per Novasel. “The county is creating a very positive culture for our citizens to engage in governance and solutions that creates a bright future for the entire county.”

“I’m listening to the people and connecting our communities to solutions, services and improvements," continued Novasel. "I’m really looking forward to continuing this progress and keeping things on a positive track”.
