Letter: David Jinkens tops my list for city council

Have you met him? Perhaps you've read his many newsletters outlining our city's challenges and his commitment to developing solutions. Maybe you remember his outstanding tenure as our City Manager.

In essence, David Jinkens is a "bridge builder." He has been an active community advocate for many years including his tenure as our city manager.
He knows well that multiple city, county, state, and federal agencies are often involved in developing and implementing solutions to such critical issues as wildfire readiness, water quality, road maintenance, affordable housing, and Tahoe's environmental health to mention just a few.

Building bridges between these agencies is crucial to setting goals and achieving them. David knows how that's done. He asks tough questions respectfully, fosters cooperation, and believes strongly in transparency.

We are fortunate to have some impressive candidates for city council and I thank them all for their hard work.

David Jinkens tops my list.
