Letter: Four chamber of commerce leaders refute claims by El Dorado County candidate

We the undersigned, on behalf of our respective chambers of commerce, are writing to flatly refute the claims by Mr. Kenny Curtzwiler, a candidate for political office, that our organizations use “taxpayer dollars to endorse personal candidates.”

Once again, Mr. Curtzwiler has demonstrated his lack of knowledge and propensity to make unfounded allegations. It is also not true that our chamber organizations have offered any member's or other's revenues to any candidates for political office, even though Mr. Curtzwiler claims “I have turned down any endorsements or money that any chamber has offered, even though they all have offered.”

We understand Mr. Curtzwiler has since deleted his social media post containing these false statements, but, sadly, the false statement is already out in the public and has reached the broader community.

Rebuttal respectively submitted,
