Three Arrested For String of West Slope Burglaries

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department retrieved hundreds of stolen items from a home in Georgetown after investigating a series of burglaries in the towns of Pollock Pines, Camino, Placerville and Georgetown. They arrested three residents of a home after conducting a search of a home following discovery of a stolen car.

Jeri Acuna, a 37 year old woman was arrested for possession of stolen property and a stolen vehicle, Ryann Jana Leidel, a 32 year old female was arrested for two outstanding felony warrants. Parolee Tommie Richard Stover was arrested on two other felony warrants.
On December 4, 2013, patrol deputies found a vehicle parked at a business in Georgetown. This vehicle had been stolen during a recent burglary. Patrol deputies notified detectives. During the investigation, detectives developed information that a Georgetown resident was associated with the stolen vehicle.

In or around the same time as the stolen vehicle investigation, patrol deputies went to an address off of Wentworth Springs Road in Georgetown, looking for a wanted felon. While the deputy was at the address, he noticed what he thought might be stolen property. The patrol deputy advised detectives what he had seen.

On December 10, 2013, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle located in the bushes behind this same address off of Wentworth Springs Road. This vehicle matched the description of a vehicle that had earlier been reported stolen, to the California Highway Patrol. Deputies responded to the address, located the vehicle and confirmed it was a reported stolen vehicle.

Detectives developed enough information to obtain a search warrant for the home and surrounding property. The search warrant was served during the evening of December 10, 2013. During the search of the home and property, hundreds of items that were confirmed to be stolen and numerous other suspected stolen items were located. So far items have been identified that belong to victims from four separate burglaries and one auto theft.
During the daylight hours of December 11, 2013 detectives photographed and itemized the stolen property. The amount of stolen property recovered was so great, it took seven detectives all day to process. Many of the recovered items were identified and released to victims at the scene. The remaining suspected property necessitated the use of a box truck to move and a storage facility to house.

The Investigations Division continues to investigate and anticipates tying the remaining seized property to additional victims.
