CA Parks introduces Tahoe Regional Pass and brings back Golden Poppy Pass

California State Parks introduced their 2015 lineup of season passes this week and included this year are a Tahoe Regional pass and the return of the popular "Golden Poppy" pass.

The new Tahoe Regional Vehicle Day Use Annual Pass will cost $75.00 per year and gets you admission to our Lake Tahoe favorites, D.L. Bliss State Park, Ed Z’Berg Sugar Pine Point State Park, Emerald Bay State Park, Kings Beach State Recreation Area and Donner Memorial State Park.

There are some restrictions to the Tahoe Regional Vehicle Day Use Annual Pass which is valid for 12 months from the month purchased. The pass cannot be used at Off Highway Motor Vehicular Recreation Areas (OHV) or for camping.

To purchase the Tahoe pass you can visit the California State Parks Store. Passes are also available for purchase at many units of the California State Park System (please contact in advance to ensure availability) or the Park Pass Sales Office located at 1416 9th Street, Room 144, Sacramento.

The Golden Poppy Vehicle Day Use Pass returns at $125, but this year with an expanded range similar to the previous year's Commemorative 150th Anniversary Pass including many of the premiere "destination" parks in the redwood region, and most of the state reservoirs. All of the Lake Tahoe area parks are included as well as parks like Julia Pfeiffer Burns and Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park on the Monterey coast are included along with coastal units in San Luis Obispo and the Channel Coast area.
