SnowGlobe Begins in South Lake Tahoe

Unless you haven't been reading the news or paying attention to what's going on in South Lake Tahoe, you know that SnowGlobe 2013 is here. The three day concert got underway on Sunday, December 29 and will wrap up with a New Year's Eve show on Tuesday night.

Throngs of people made their way into the concert Sunday, some decked out in costume, others scantily clad, while many took heed to the cold weather and came prepared in warm clothing. It was apparent that all were there for a good time and many started their party prior to arrival.

Buses were transporting the SnowGlobe attendees from various points around South Lake Tahoe into the concert venue at Lake Tahoe Community College. There was an issue last year with not enough buses for after the show so event organizers are trying to make things run smoother this year.

There will be a 10 pm fireworks show on Sunday and Monday nights, and about midnight on New Year's Eve. Pyrospeculars out of Sacramento is taking care of the pyrotechnic display. Wayne Tuell of Gardnerville, NV will be setting up all three nights of fireworks. Part of his duties are to stand guard over the shells from the time he prepares them until discharge time.

There are some single day tickets available for $94 for Sunday and Monday and $99 for Tuesday.
