SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The winter storm will continue to bring periods of heavy Sierra snow and valley rain through Monday before heading out. There is a possibility of a colder, midweek storm that may bring more snow chances to the Sierra, with rain showers and snow possible down to lower elevations. But, after that, the Lake Tahoe Basin is set for a drier, warmer weather pattern that will arrive just in time for next weekend. It should last into mid-January, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
