SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Tahoe Youth and Family Services, in partnership with Live Violence Free, will be hosting a free showing of Awaken’s documentary “At What Cost” on Thursday, January 16 in the STAR (South Tahoe Association of Realtors) building at 2307 James Avenue, South Lake Tahoe. This event is free to the community, but reservations are requested as seating is limited.

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a meet & greet and informational vendor booths. At 6 p.m. there will be introductions and short presentations by Tahoe Youth & Family Services, Awaken, and Live Violence Free.

“At What Cost”, a dynamic 60-minute documentary will begin at 6:30 p.m. Based on 23 interviews with survivors, law enforcement, policymakers and imprisoned traffickers, the film explores Nevada’s sex trade and its impacts on our community and beyond.

After the movie’s conclusion, there will be a short break followed by a Panel Discussion featuring Awaken founder, local law enforcement and the movie producer.

This event is hosted to provide critical information to our community to help prevent and reduce sex trafficking and provide relief and healing to those who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse or sex trafficking.
