Utah’s Park City Mountain, owned by the Vail Corporation, has reached an agreement with the Park City Ski Patrol Union. The ski patrollers went on strike on December 27. The new contract reportedly gives raises to the ski patrollers and other safety workers and brings their starting salary to $23, a $2 per hour increase while the more experienced employees will see a raise of $7.75 per hour. The agreement also gives workers expanded parental leave policies and educational opportunities,

‘We look forward to welcoming back the Park City Mountain patrollers in the coming days and moving forward together as one team,” said Bill Rock, president of Vail Resorts’ Mountain Division. “We apologize to our guests who were impacted by this strike and are incredibly grateful to our team who worked so hard to keep the mountain open and operating safely over the past two weeks.”

The Vail Corporation, which owns Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar, and Kirkwood in the area, owns and operates 42 mountain resorts in four countries.
